Sculpted for the Slope - A Modern Family Haven
Perched on a generous sloping site in central Mount Maunganui, this split-level home strikes a bold balance between architectural form and everyday function, delivering a dynamic indoor-outdoor lifestyle tailored for family living.
Designed with precision and built with care, the project demanded bespoke detailing to navigate its unique geometry. The palette of grey masonry, Weathertex cladding, and extensive vertical and horizontal cedar brings rich texture and tonal variation, resulting in a facade that is both modern and grounded in place.
Inside, the white and natural timber finishes create a warm, beach-inspired atmosphere that flows effortlessly through the open-plan layout. Expansive glazing and layered levels enhance light, movement, and connection — making it the perfect setting for relaxed family life.
The build showcases exceptional craftsmanship at every turn, with meticulous attention to detail and a deep respect for architectural intent evident throughout. The final result is a distinctive architectural statement that complements and elevates its coastal surroundings.
